Unqualified? You’re hired! Part 3

Written by on March 22, 2012

As I climb into my car and head out to do cold calls for our business, I pray:

“Speak, Lord – Your servant is listening. I am uneducated and untrained. But I pray that those I reach today would see Jesus in me, and marvel. Who needs hope and encouragement? Holy Spirit, illuminate where to go and who to speak with. Cause my spirit to overflow with Your abundance into those I encounter today. Who can I encourage?”

I’m open to what God is doing in the field, and actively seek to enter into the work He’s already doing.

Some days, I pull over to “random” businesses and ask individuals how I can pray for them. Recently I shared a prayer and a specific Scripture verse for women at businesses where God led me that day. One followed me out the door, tackled me in the parking lot, and asked for prayer then and there.

What can you do this week to encourage others who are feeling discouraged and inadequate? How might you encourage yourself?
