“Lord, we lift up our servicemen and women before you today.  Thank you for protecting them, loving them, and filling them with Your presence.  We appreciate the courage they demonstrate every day in defending the freedom of our nation.”

Today Tim and I visited Willamette National Cemetery in Clackamas County, Oregon, where 140,000 flags were displayed in tribute to those who gave their lives for us.

      I remember seeing that on the Korean War Memorial in Washington DC a couple of years ago. I’m grateful for those fighting for our country – and for your family who is part of the effort to maintain that freedom.
